We’re humbled to be celebrating 4 years of our incredible partnership with Demelza Hospice Care for Children, a charity that provides care and treasured memories for children with severe and terminal health conditions and support for their families.
We began supporting the charity when it was founded in 1998 through various fundraising initiatives, but we wanted to do more; so in January 2018 we launched our Demelza children’s account from which we make an annual donation to Demelza equivalent to 0.25% of the total average balances held in these accounts.
Every pound donated works so hard to provide the care of specialist nurses, deliver therapy sessions and provide valuable support for the children and their families.
Demelza can only do this with the support of partnerships and the kindness of the community. We’re proud to be part of this important work and we hope that all of you who have an account with us or donate in your own way know how much this means to the care teams, children and families who use the service.
Our community matters and so when we began our new partnership with XL@Football, a female football academy, we took the opportunity to get them involved by donating the valuable space on their matchday kit to Demelza, and we’re delighted with the enthusiasm with which the players, coaches and supporters have stepped up as ambassadors for this fantastic charity too.
Paul Whitlock, Group Managing Director – Savings for OSB Group, said: ‘We’re stronger together and we’re excited to support both of these inspirational organisations through 2022 and beyond to make a difference in our communities.’
Like much of the country, we’ve been gripped by football fever for the past three months. And while our summer of sport may not have resulted in any silverware, we’re certain next year could bring success with England’s Lionesses qualifying for the Euro 2025 Championship.
