Taking money out

Any electronic payment request to be made out of your account on 24th December must be received by us before 12pm to ensure it will be dealt with on the same day. Electronic payment requests received by us after 12pm on 24th December will be dealt with on the next working day (27th December).

The standard payment limits will still apply.

This 12pm cut off time will apply online, in our branches, and to postal and telephone requests received by our Customer Services team. If you have a passbook, this must be submitted with your request.

Paying money in

Unless your paying bank has any changes to its payment processing timescales, deposits made by electronic payment will not be affected.

Cash & Cheque

Taking money out

Our branches will be closing at 12pm on 24th December 2018, so should you need a cash or cheque withdrawal you will need to visit the branch before this time. If you have a passbook, this must be submitted with your request.

The standard cash withdrawal limit of £500 per day will still apply.

Paying money in

If you would like to pay funds into your account at a branch on 24th December, you will need to visit the branch before 12pm. Please take your passbook into branch, so the transaction can be recorded.

Postal accounts

Cheques deposited at a branch before they close on 24th December will begin to earn interest the same day. The branches will re-open on 27th December.

Cheques received before 12pm on 24th December will start earning interest the same day. We will not receive any post between 12pm on 24th December and the next working day (27th December).

Please note that standard business practice will resume as normal from Thursday 27 December 2018.
